All training sessions are led by CORR owner and New Mexico's only Balanced Body Educator, Carín, whose expertise and passion for movement create an immersive, hands-on learning experience. MOVEMENT PRINCIPLES
The foundation of the Balanced Body education program, designed to deepen your understanding of how the body moves efficiently and safely. This course covers essential principles like alignment, core control, breathing, mobility, and strength, equipping you with the knowledge to optimize movement and prevent injuries- both for yourself and your future clients.

Balanced Body® is a globally recognized leader in Pilates education, offering comprehensive instructor training in Mat, Reformer, and other Pilates apparatus. Our training center at CORR provides in-depth courses designed to equip instructors with the knowledge, technique, and confidence to teach effectively.
All training sessions are led by CORR owner, Carín, New Mexico's ONLY Balanced Body® Master Instructor. With years of experience in Pilates, movement education, and instructor training, Carín creates a supportive and hands-on learning environment for students to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of the method.
The Balanced Body® training program at CORR includes:
Movement Principles
Mat 1, 2, and 3
Reformer 1, 2, and 3
Apparatus 1, 2 and 3
In addition, an anatomy course is required. This can be taken through Balanced Body® or another accredited program. If you have previously completed an anatomy course, you may submit proof of completion and a passing grade for approval.
To become a Mat and Reformer certified instructor, you must complete the following:
All in-studio courses (Movement Principles, Mat 1, Mat 2, Mat 3, Reformer 1, Reformer 2 and Reformer 3)
Anatomy Course
Personal practice sessions (20 Mat, 30 Reformer)
Observation hours (45 total)
Student teaching hours (125 total)
A final written and practical assessment
The Mat and Reformer certification is a total of 332 hours not including the anatomy course.
To become a Comprehensively certified instructor, you must complete the following:
All in-studio courses (Movement Principles, Mat 1, Mat 2, Mat 3, Reformer 1, Reformer 2, Reformer 3, Apparatus 1, Apparatus 2, and Apparatus 3)
Anatomy Course
Personal practice sessions (20 Mat, 65 Reformer)
Observation hours (65 total)
Student teaching hours (220 total)
A final written and practical assessment
The Comprehensive certification is a total of 520 hours not including the anatomy course.
Once these steps are completed, you’ll be fully certified to teach Pilates using the Balanced Body® method.
No, the program is designed to be modular, allowing you to take each course individually based on your schedule. You can pay for courses one at a time or enroll in the full program.
The timeline varies depending on your pace, availability, and ability to complete practice and teaching hours. Some students complete their certification within several months, while others take longer depending on their schedule.
Each module operates independently, meaning if you miss an in-studio training session, you will need to attend that module at another Balanced Body® Authorized Training Center, either in person or virtually, before completing the program.
Yes! You may complete your required observation hours at CORR by watching any of our certified instructors during their classes. You may also observe at other local studios or through online training videos. More details will be provided on the first in-studio training day.
You can complete your Mat and Reformer practice sessions at any Balanced Body® studio or fitness center, including CORR.
Yes, there is a separate test-out fee that is not included in the course tuition. The fee ranges from $150–$200, payable at the time of testing.
Yes! Balanced Body® courses are designed to be transferable, meaning you can complete part of your training at CORR and continue at any Balanced Body® Authorized Training Center worldwide and vice versa.
No, completing the training does not guarantee employment at CORR. However, we do offer a student teaching program to help trainees gain experience and complete their required student teaching hours.
While we anticipate future hiring opportunities, being part of the student teaching program does not guarantee a job offer. If you are specifically interested in teaching at CORR, let us know so we can evaluate your teaching skills and fit for our team throughout the program.
No. While CORR does require all of their instructors to hold a minimum of a Mat and Reformer Certification, it does not have to be a Balanced Body® Certification. If you've completed your certification program through a different education provider, you may still apply for a teaching opportunity at CORR.
Yes! While the course is heavily focused on teaching and instruction, you are welcome to enroll for personal knowledge and practice. However, you will still be required to demonstrate your ability to instruct and cue exercises as part of the coursework.
Each module is priced individually, allowing you to pay as you go or enroll in the full program over time. Tuition ranges from $500–$599 per module, depending on the course:
Movement Principles – $500
Mat 1, Mat 2, Mat 3 – $549 each
Reformer 1, Reformer 2, Reformer 3 – $599 each
In addition to tuition, each module includes a $50 Balanced Body® manual fee and a $10 streaming access fee. Tuition is due 24 hours prior to the first in-studio day of each module.
Please note: There is a separate test-out fee of $150–$200, payable at the time of testing and not included in module tuition, payable at the time of testing.
Balanced Body® recommends registering at least 10 business days before your course begins to ensure your hard copy manual arrives on time. If you register after that window, you will receive a digital version of the manual that can be used during training.
Once registration is open, we will provide a registration link through the Balanced Body® site. If you are ready to commit, let us know so we can send the link as soon as it's available. If you’d like more information before deciding, feel free to reach out!

Balanced Body® is internationally recognized, so certification allows you to teach at:
Boutique Pilates studios
Major fitness centers
Private training settings
Your own independent practice
At CORR, we require all of our instructors to have minimum of a Mat and Reformer Certification. You don't have to go through the Balanced Body® certification program that we offer at CORR as long as you hold a certification either from Balanced Body® or another education provider.
If you already earned your certification, you will still be required to go through CORR training and pass a test out executing our methods before being offered employment.
